At the end of June 2019 Emma, along with Karin van Maanen - Communications Officer for Opening Your Heart to Bhutan, flew over to San Francisco to represent the charity at the After Mindfulness Urban Retreat.
Emma spoke at the conference on the topic of deepening personal practice.
The conference was full of inspiring dharma talks, Buddhist storytelling and discussions, as well as awareness raising for the charity and selling many copies of the book Set Free. Emma and Karin were also treated to beautiful sunsets over the bay area!
